There is said to have been a public house in Fiddlers Bottom although the name ‘The Pheasant’ is unconfirmed.
A former owner of a private house in Fiddlers Bottom found what appeared to be a very old pub sign in a hedge on his property. Unfortunately the wooden sign was rotten and the name of the pub was not legible.
