WOODBINE COTTAGE
A public house of this name is listed under “Taverns and Public Houses” in the Gloucestershire Directory of 1820 (published at the Herald Office, Westgate) licensee, Elizabeth Tovey of Queen’s (Querns?) Lane. No other record has been found.The name Woodbine was transferred to Chesterton Lane. (A Mrs Elizabeth Tovey is named on the 1837/8 Tithe map as owning a cottage and “Garden & Grounds” at what is now 39 Querns Lane.)
