The Salmons Leap is a brand new pub, which opened in March 1998 near the Tesco roundabout at Quedgeley. The Gloucester Citizen ran a competition to name the pub, and Elevine Seddon of Brockworth thought of the name the Salmons Leap.

£2 million was invested into the pub, which included a children’s ‘wacky warehouse’ play area. Bass took over the Salmons Leap in 2000 and immediately removed the ‘wacky warehouse’.  It had become a Harvester Restaurant by 2001. The pub/restaurant was known simply as the Quedgeley Harvester. After a refurbishment in 2007 the name Salmons Leap returned, branded as the Salmons Leap Harvester.
