The Man of Ross in the 1880-1 and 1883-4 Post Office Directories at 11 & 12 Henrietta Street, Cheltenham. Landlord was listed as Thomas Atkins 1880-1 and Thos. Atkins 1883-4.
By the time of the 1891-2 Post Office Directory though nos. 11&12 were listed as a furniture dealer’s F. Palmer.
It is possible it existed earlier – I did find a “Beer Retailer” listed in the 1847 Hunt & Co. Directory called John Carter in Henrietta Street with no address number or pub name.
However, it is definitely listed 1880 – 1884
