Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard, 29th September 1888:

Mrs. Ann Shill, holder of an off beerhouse license at Daglingworth, applied for the renewal of her license. Mr. Supt. Morgan opposed the renewal at the last annual licensing meeting, the applicant having been convicted and fined for allowing beer to be consumed on the premises, on June 18th of the present year. Mr. Morgan offered now no further opposition, and the Bench renewed the license with a caution.—Mr. William Cripps took no part in these cases.

In 1891 the beer house (off sales) was owned by J.C. Holder, Esq. and it was free of tie. Mary Ann Shill is listed as occupier. The rateable value was £9.12s.0d.
