Cheltenham – Early Inns

Cheltenham has been a market town since it got its charter in 1226, so I expect there have been inns at least since then or then abouts. But just to give an idea on how many might have existed that we don’t know or aren’t sure about, here is a list of “Common Tipplers” (beer sellers) just pre-1611 I have managed to compile from Manor Court books:
