The Sherborne Brewery must have been quite an early one. I first came across it on a map which I believe dates to the 1830s. However, it is not marked on the 1855-7 Old Town Survey map. By that time (1852) the old Highbury Congregational Church had been built in Winchcomb Street, and there is a greyed out building behind that on the map.
I couldn’t find any mention of the Sherborne Brewery in the 1837 or 1838 Annuaires, so I’m thinking it may even have been gone by then. But it is mentioned under the ‘Old Names’ listing on the cheltonia.wordpress.co.uk website. All it says though is that it was in Winchcomb Street, behind the old Odeon cinema site.
You can clearly see it marked on the 1830s map though (and the Anchor Brewery in Warwick Place too).
