In the 1850 Edwards Directory, T. Biddle is recorded under “Beer Retailers” with an 19 Albion Street address. This would have been on the north side where the 2 new buildings east of Winchcomb Street now meet. T. Biddle is also recorded at 92 Albion Street under “Poulterers” across on the south side.
In the 1851 Edwards W. Arnold is recorded under “Beer Retailers” at 19 Albion Street and T. Biddle is listed under Poulterers at 92.
In the 1852 Edwards W. Arnold is once again recorded under “Beer Retailers”. Now T. Biddle is recorded as a “Poulterer” around the corner at 21 1/2.
21 Pittville Street later became the Clarendon Ale & Porter Store aka the Clarendon Inn. (Another Biddle – G., was landlord of the Nag’s Head at 233 lower High Street in 1850, 1851 and 1852: I guess they were probably related).
