The Quart Pot was located at the Cross between the present day Berkeley Arms and (Old) Plough.
The building was demolished on 5th May 1837. Two fine mullioned windows were uncovered, giving support that the building dated back to the reign of Henry VII. The Quart Pot extended from Church Street back towards Swilgate Road and contained ‘a malthouse, brewery and barrel store’… that’s something to ponder over when nibbling on your cheese burger in Burger Star, which is near the site of the Quart Pot!
