The Promenade Vaults opened in November 1982, and was at the northern end of the Municipal Office block in the Promenade. Courage (Western) Ltd bought the former Geraldine’s restaurant and tea shop in the basement of the building and transformed it into a traditional styled pub.
Trading as the Prom Bar in December 2005 it had a £30,000 refurbishment.
