There is an early reference to the Pack Horse Inn in 1755. It stood at the corner of Pack Horse Lane. The address was later 12 Haw Street. The Pack Horse is believed to have closed in 1899. It was sold by auction on 27th Sept. 1898. The building was demolished in 1978.
The site is now an entrance to a residential area.
