The Maltings was a nightclub housed in the former malt house of the Stroud Brewery. It is the only remaining building that survives of the old Stroud Brewery. The nightclub originally opened as Grays in the late 1980’s and was renamed the Maltings in 1992. It has also been known as Club Splash and its last incarnation was Uptown Downtown. It closed in January 2006.

Proposals at the time included the conversion of the old malt house into a 200 seater restaurant, offices and flats.
