Frank’s Bar was the gabled fronted premises adjoining the Marlborough Arms. It was trading as Franks Bar in 1997, later becoming the Out of Town pub (1998). It is now trading as the Vortex Inn

The gabled building adjoining the Marlborough Arms was known as the Out of Town pub in 1998. It got the name the Out of Town pub as it is one of the last properties as you leave Fairford in a westerly direction on the A417 going towards Cirencester.
Vortex
The gabled building adjoining the Marlborough Arms was known as Franks Bar in 1997 and the Out of Town pub in 1998. It is now known as the Vortex Inn. It was put on the market in July 2007 for £250,000 and the estate agent details said that the property was ‘formerly run as a public house’ with the ‘potential to be converted for multiple residential accommodation subject to consent.’ However, the Vortex was still trading in September 2008.
