The Bumble Bee opened in the Spring of 2000. It was constructed of re-cycled material in a traditional style – the pub looked old when it was new! The Bumble Bee was the first of Bass’s chain of Vintage Inns to be opened in Gloucestershire. It is perched above the busy Quedgeley by-pass at the entrance to a business park. Next door to the pub is a Holiday Inn Express.
