The ‘Stroud News’ reported on March 25th 1862 that ‘Jos. Bliss had left the Woolpack Inn. Messrs. Watts, Hallewell & Biddell (Stroud Brewery) took it on lease for 14 years at £28 a year and Mr Monk was put in as manager.’
The Woolpack is not mentioned in the 1891 book of licensed premises in Gloucestershire.
