The Wheatsheaf Inn was situated on the Quay at Ashleworth – just a few yards away from the Boat Inn. The Gloucester Citizen of 16th February 1913 reported that the Boat Inn was the better house of the two. The Wheatsheaf had earlier been called the ‘Hit or Miss’.
