The Victoria Tap stood on the banks of the Stroudwater canal above Dudbridge Lock. The Victoria was brick built and very basic. A photograph shows an austere looking building with the wife of James Clark with her daughter Annie standing by the front door. Annie Clarke took the licence over and, presumably, was the last landlady when the pub closed. Annie was born in the house in 1893. The Victoria Tap has long been demolished.
