In his list of Cheltenham pubs that were trading in the early part of Queen Victoria’s reign, fellow pub historian Martin Edwards has listed the Tiger in Tewkesbury Road in the year 1844.
There is another reference to the Tiger in 1878. However it is not included in the list of Gloucestershire licensed premises as surveyed in 1891.
