Spoofers Bar opened in the premises that was previously the Old Bank on Thursday 1st October 1998. Former Gloucester Rugby Club first team captain Pete Glanville officially opened the bar. It cost the owners, Regent Inns, £1 million to refurbish.
The bar had another change of identity in June 2005 as the Zebra Bar. It then became the Water Poet – a JD Wetherspoon pub. The identity is now re-branded as The Doctors. It is no longer a ‘Spoons’ pub.
