Brays Court is a passageway on west side of High Street between Quay Street and Red Lane. The Sailors Return was tucked away in this passage and must have been very difficult for the local police to supervise. It had the lowest annual rateable value for any pub in Tewkesbury. The license was either relinquished or terminated by the local licensing authorities, as there is no mention of the pub in 1903.
