There is a reference to the Railway in New Market, Gloucester, in 1859. New Market is better known as Market Parade. The Railway was named after the Great Western Railway. The GWR station was nearby. The premises probably later became the Crown Hotel. The Gloucester Cattle Market was situated in front of the pub.
