The annual rateable value of the Princess Royal was £11.0s.0d. in 1891 and 1903, closing at 10 p.m. The pub was only fifty yards or so away from the Prince Albert at Rodborough. John Rogers contacted me in January 2008 and told me that he could remember drinking at the Princess Royal: “It was just like walking into someone’s front room. It had an off-licence attached that was open when the pub was closed.” The Princess Royal closed about 1966.

The building is now a private house Greystones.
