Eliza Jefferies was the owner of the Pittville Hotel in 1891. The leasehold, however, was taken by the Cheltenham Original Brewery. Licensed as an ale house the Pittville Hotel had an annual rateable value of £29.15s.0d. This value remained at the same level for the next twelve years but in 1903 the Cheltenham Brewery had purchased the property outright.
