Just one reference in 1879 to the licensed premises in Northgate Street called No.1 Vaults. The inn had previously been called the Tredegar Arms (c.1860-1875) and, before that, in 1802 the Maidenhead. In 1890 the public house was called the Victoria, and later became the Adega Inn.
