The Marlborough Arms, on the junction of Coronation Street and Cirencester Road, is a 17th century pub. It is the one of the first buildings on the left hand side of the road as you approach from the west on the A417.
It is still trading (in 2025) and affectionally known locally as the Molly.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard – Compensation for pub attack: A man has been ordered to pay compensation to a Fairford landlord after attacking him during a row. He admitted common assault on the licensee of the Marlborough Arms and smashing a window at the pub on January 28th 2005.
Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard, Thursday 9th February 2006 – Fairford: A 21-year-old man was arrested on Friday night after smashing a glass in someone’s face in the Marlborough Arms. The victim, a 51-year-old Fairford man, suffered cuts and bruising to his face during the alleged attack. His assailant has been bailed pending police enquiries until 22nd March.
