The Linden Tree, on the junction with Theresa Street,  is located at the end property of a listed three storey Georgian terrace. It was previously known as the Norfolk House Hotel and once housed a micro-brewery known as the Hawthorn Brewery. Mike Player bought the hotel in 1984 and changed the name to the Linden Tree. Wadworth of Devizes acquired the Linden Tree in 1988. The pub has a cosy feel to it and the local CAMRA in Gloucester branch refers to it as a “country pub in the City”.

Landlords include:

1984 Mike and Valerie Player (from the Plough Inn, Pilning)

1999 Dermot and Barbara Bishop

2000 (May), 2001 Gordon Kinnear and Gen Ridgley
