The Hop Kettle is a new micropub housed in premises in Cirencester’s Woolmarket shopping square that was previously used as a toy shop. It is operated by the Hop Kettle Brewery.

Hop Kettle Brewery was established in 2012 at the Red Lion pub in Cricklade, just over the border in Wiltshire. Small scale brewing still takes place at the Red Lion, but Hop Kettle now also brews at an old Royal Mail warehouse in Hawksworth Industrial Estate, Swindon.

The Hop Kettle was named by the Cirencester sub-branch of CAMRA, as their Pub of the Year in 2023.

Cirencester sub-branch of CAMRA: Report, November 2023: “The Hop Kettle in Cirencester are extending to the first floor once the current tenant vacates which is really good news as the current space does get very crowded at weekends. They continue to serve excellent cask and keg ales.”
