When I was exhibiting at the Great Gloucestershire Heritage Show in August 2001 a gentleman showed me an original sign from the Green Dragon Inn, which had been discovered in a cellar. It was wooden and had not been restored but the words ‘Home Brewed Ales’ were clearly legible.
