In June 1853 the Full Moon public house in Albion Street caught fire. The brigade arrived promptly with all its equipment in working order, but no water was available from any nearby hydrant because of a summer drought and the firemen stood by helpless and limped hosed whilst the pub burned down.

I have no other records of the Full Moon in Albion Street. Perhaps the licence was transferred to the Full Moon in the Lower High Street.
