The Petty Licensing Books of 1891 and 1903 have no mention of the Fox Inn at Eastington. It is known to be trading as a pub in 1907, when it was occupied by Frederick and Leonora Cowley. They had two children, Evelyn (born 1907) and Frederick (born 1908). They moved to South Wales.

Stroud Brewery held an inventory of their properties in 1928 where the Fox Inn was listed ‘with meadow adjoining’. The license of the Fox was objected to in February 1930.

Fox House is on the right as you head out of Eastington on the road to Frocester.
