The Grade II listed property is now a private residence in Silver Street on the road to Malmesbury (B4014) called the Old Fox House.
Wilts and Glos Standard, Saturday December 19th 1908: Letter to the Editor – Dear Sir, In your last issue of the Standard you have a paragraph referring to a ‘drunken brawl’. Your report stated it was in Fox Hill, outside Fox Hill Inn. So I wish to contradict the statement as it did not occur outside the Fox Inn, but about 50 yards down the hill, in fact it was just outside another public house, although some of my customers were mixed up in the brawl. I have spoken to the police about it, and was advised to write to you, as during my twelve months here the police tell me the house here was never best conducted, hoping you will contradict the statement in your next issue. And oblige, yours truly. Fox Inn, Tetbury. F. Ashfield.
