The Fountain Inn is believed to have been trading at the bottom of the High Street near the junction with Valley Road, somewhere near the Seven Stars Inn. I have scribbled notes of a Fountain Inn in Bilson Road in 1868 although the source of this reference is not known. The occupying landlord in 1856 and 1867 is Lemuel Aston. The pub does not get a mention in the 1891 licensing book.
