A beer house called the Foley Arms has been identified at 1 Worcester Street by fellow pub and local history enthusiast Martin Edwards. The reference is from 1844.

Worcester Street is now little more than a solitary house and private garages at the back of the shopping precinct in Tewkesbury Road. There was also a pub called the Farmers Arms in Worcester Street, the first reference that I have on the Farmers Arms is in 1891. Could the Foley Arms and the Farmers Arms be the same licensed premises?
