The Fleece Inn was once owned by Smith & Sons Brimscombe Brewery. It later passed to Stroud Brewery ownership. The Fleece Inn was offered for auction on Tuesday 25th May 1937. The building is now a private residence called Fleece House. It is located within a maze of narrow lanes that are so characteristic of Chalford.
