The Cotswold had become an inn by 1860. In the early 1960’s the Cotswold Inn was a popular venue for rock ‘n’ roll and skiffle groups. The pub was demolished in 1972/3. The site of the pub is now Detmore Close.

Albert Pearce contacted me about the Cotswold Inn in Charlton Kings in the 1960’s which was his local pub. He remembered “many a good Friday night spent with John and Joan Williams, landlord and lady, Jack Clifford, Frank Cherrington, Ted Wright, Brian Askew, and Ernie Fisher.”
