In the 1891 and 1903 Gloucestershire licensing enumerations the Coffee Rooms at Tidenham is listed as an alehouse, so presumably it was licensed to sell alcohol. It had a very low annual rateable value of £6.7s.0d. Robert C. Jenkins was the owner and it had a premise licence open until 10 pm. There was no brewery tie attached to the licence.
The Coffee Rooms was located at the top of the ‘new’ pier in Tidenham.
