Calcot Manor is an upmarket country hotel just off the junction with the A46 Stroud to Bath road and the A4135 Tetbury road. The Gumstool Inn, part of the complex, opened in November 1994. The Gumstool Inn won the Gloucestershire Dining Pub of the Year in 1997.

Citizen: Wednesday November 6th, 1985 – Hotel in top guide: Calcot Manor in Tetbury has gained a new entry n the Egon Ronay Lucas Guide for1986. The hotel, an old-converted farmhouse on the A4135 run by the Bell family, has been rated grade one. The guide highlights the tasteful furnishing and character of the hotel, including thoughtful touches like books, sewing baskets and bathrobes in all rooms. The bathrooms are fitted with whirlpool baths. This new entry brings the total number of entries in the county to 50. The guide is published by the Egon Ronay organisation at £8.60 and is distributed by the Automobile Association.
