Welford on Avon in Warwickshire is about four miles to the west of Stratford on Avon. Unlike the Bell Inn, Four Alls and the Shakespeare Inn the Boat Inn is not included in the 1891 and 1903 books of licensed premises in Gloucestershire. Perhaps the Boat had ceased trading by 1891.
