There is a solitary listing of a Gamecock Inn in Archdeacon Street in 1869, perhaps this is a continuation of the licence trading under an alternative name.

The Leather Bottle Inn in Archdeacon Street was still serving pints in 1959. An early reference for the Leather Inn was in 1806.

It may be concluded that there was at least two pubs operating in Archdeacon Street concurrently.
