Bibury Court was built by Sir Thomas Sackville in 1633. The interior was remodelled in 1750 and again after 1922. Charles II is reputed to have visited the court when he attended Bibury races. It became a hotel in 1971. Bibury Court is a beautiful Country Hotel set in six acres bounded by the River Coln. Bibury Court Hotel was named the most excellent country house in the 2001 Johansens national awards and the winner of the Good Hotel Guide Cesar award in 2003 for their Manor House of the Year. In 2004 it was put up for sale with a guide price of £3.5 to £4 million. It was later taken off the market.
