The Berkeley Arms closed in March 1986. I am grateful to Al Stone who told me that the closure of the pub was sudden and unexpected. He said that his friends were drinking with him in the Berkeley Arms on a Saturday lunchtime in March, but when they returned later that evening the pub had been boarded up.

The site of the Berkeley Arms is now a multi-storey car park.
