The Bell Inn was opposite the building that is now the Manse Hotel by the bridge over the river Windrush in Sherborne Street. The Duke of Wellington Hotel was next door.

The Bell Inn is the building in the middle of the photograph (Sue Roberts – Facebook)

The 1927 Kelly’s Directory refers to the Bell Hotel but I have found no references to the pub after that date. The property is now Bell Cottage. .
