There is a reference to the Beehive Inn in Balls Green hamlet in 1856. Balls Green is half a mile to the south east of Box.  The map reference of Balls Green hamlet is ST 867997. The presence of a property called the Beehive in the village of Box tends to suggest that the premises might have moved location. [edit: some confusion here, I need to check this – can anyone help?]. The Beehive was a rare Gloucestershire outlet for Luce’s Malmesbury beers. The date of closure of the Beehive Inn is not known.

This page will be updated with additional, and clearer, information.
